剧情介绍：山花，山里的花都叫山花，没有专业人士的分类命名，它们统称为“山花”。就像这个村里的所有人一样，在山里，信息闭塞，交通不便，即使死去，也没多少人知晓他们的姓名，他们统称为“村民”。村里唯一的老师吴英霞去世了，她的养女郝蕙兰接过养母的遗愿支撑着整个学校。年轻貌美的蕙兰当然想出去看看外面的世界，谁也不愿在村里当一辈子“山花”，微薄的教师薪资对于完成她的心愿毫无帮助。村民讲，时常看见蕙兰用公用电话打电话，似乎是在谈借钱的事情。村里的牛小山爱慕蕙兰，对她的生活极为帮衬，看见蕙兰在准备钱的事情，牛小山对她也是极尽所能。之后，蕙兰消失了，丢下了12个学生人间蒸发了，村民猜测她是出去打工了，学校也准备合并。数月后，人们在深山了发现了蕙兰的尸体，瞬时间村民们炸开了锅，凶手是谁?因爱生恨的牛小山，还是蕙兰病恹恹的养父，还有，她每周在公用电话里聊借钱的神秘人。
